Custom domain

Verify ownership, provision TLS and promote a healthy hostname without letting request headers select another tenant.

Updated: 24 September 2026

Prepare the domain

Keep the Sprytto development hostname serving until the custom hostname is active. Choose a hostname dedicated to the store and remove conflicting DNS records first.

  • Only an owner can create or remove a domain binding.
  • A hostname must be globally unique in Sprytto and pass normalized allowlists.
  • Host routing uses the verified database binding, never an arbitrary forwarded header.

DNS and verification

  1. Add the hostname in Dashboard → Domains and copy the displayed ownership record.
  2. Publish the exact DNS record at the authoritative provider.
  3. Wait for ownership, Cloudflare custom-hostname and certificate checks to become healthy.
  4. Verify HTTPS, the correct workspace, localized routes and checkout return URLs before promotion.

Safe changes and removal

DNS and certificate propagation are asynchronous. Sprytto keeps the last healthy release and reports degraded activation rather than routing an unverified hostname.

Do not delete the previous DNS target until the new binding, TLS certificate and rollback path have been verified from outside your local network.
